Personal Care Assistant - Full Time Position

We are seeking experienced and passionate Personal Care Assistants to join our team on a permanent full-time basis at Catholic Healthcare.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality care to residents, including assisting with personal hygiene, showering, dressing, toileting, and mobility.
  • Support residents with daily living activities, such as making their beds, tidying their rooms, and offering companionship.
  • Prepare resident dining rooms for meal service and clean up afterwards.
  • Assist residents with leisure and lifestyle activities, such as participating in hobbies or going for walks.
  • Promptly respond to resident call buttons for assistance and report any changes in resident health status to the Registered Nurse on duty.
Requirements:
  • Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Ageing) or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year experience as a Personal Care Assistant in a Residential Aged Care home.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Commitment to respecting the values, customs, preferences, and spiritual beliefs of residents.
  • Excellent time-management and prioritization skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of workplace health and safety.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to change.
  • Willingness to obtain NDIS clearance.
