The Data Center Technician role involves working on-site to maintain data center operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure maintenance activities are carried out safely and efficiently while maintaining high uptime criteria.
  • Maintain excellent standards of response to asset performance and address any abnormal operating conditions or housekeeping issues promptly.
  • Carry out routine planned preventative maintenance tasks as required within and across HV and LV distribution systems, associated plant/equipment, and HVAC mechanical cooling/heating systems.
  • Monitor BMS for running and alarm conditions when needed.
  • Conduct building walk-rounds, take meter readings from UPS, PDU's, and other electrical equipment to monitor capacity.
  • Investigate faults, identify root causes, and implement remedies.
  • Prepare accurate and timely service/incident reports as necessary.
  • Ensure corrective/repair works are carried out in accordance with current regulations.
  • Assist with equipment installation works and asset data capture as required.
  • Participate in emergency call-out rosters providing cover for weekend absences as needed.
Personnel Management
  • Provide leadership, guidance, advice, coaching, and direct support to deliver best practice selection, training, assessment, recognition/reward, and appraisal systems.
  • Facilitate the functional onboarding of new employees.
  • Promote a positive culture and best practices.
  • Maintain positive relationships with clients/customers through effective customer relationship management.
  • Hold team members accountable to performance standards, addressing underperformance appropriately.
  • Actively promote teamwork within the team, contract, and business.
Quality and Safety
  • QHSE - Administer tasks related to quality, health, safety, and environment.
  • Manage the work management system and report on QHSE-related matters.
  • Log hazards and customer feedback on the QHSE Management Portal.
  • Maintain compliance with mandatory training.
