Job Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of a data center, maintaining excellent standards of response to asset performance and ensuring any abnormal operating conditions are dealt with proficiently.

Candidate must have experience of maintaining critical & temperature control conditioned environments and detailed understanding and experience of electrical and mechanical systems used in a data center environment.

A key aspect of this role is working at heights, using plant equipment and being exposed to confined spaces. The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge of building services, good customer relationship skills and an ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure maintenance activities are carried out with due regard to Health and Safety and business risk
  • Maintain excellent standards of response to asset performance
  • Investigate faults, identify root causes, and effect remedies
  • Prepare accurate / timely service/incident reports as required
  • Deliver effective communication through advice, review, leadership and direct contribution to team meetings, briefings, correspondence, monthly and ad-hoc reporting, as appropriate
Requirements
  • Detailed understanding and experience of electrical and mechanical systems used in a data center environment
  • NSW Electrical License is required
  • Minimum Certificate III Electrotechnology Electrician
  • Strong understanding of ticketing or workflow management systems and tools
  • Experience of managing escalation and emergency issues
  • Good building services knowledge
  • Good Customer relationship skills
