Legal Professional - Project and Energy Specialist
We are seeking a skilled and experienced legal professional to support our dynamic legal team.
This role offers the opportunity to work across various aspects of front-end project development, regulatory matters, and commercial projects in a company accelerating Australia's transition to renewable energy.
You will become part of a high-performing business and be able to contribute to an exciting industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise on legal, compliance, and regulatory aspects of energy storage projects.
- Lead due diligence and negotiation of project agreements.
- Provide legal input on governance, policies, and corporate legal work.
- Work closely with commercial teams on procurement, contract management, and risk.
- Monitor regulatory changes in the renewables space.
- Instruct external counsel.
Requirements:
- Admitted as a lawyer in Australia.
- 2-6 years of experience in private practice or in-house as a projects, energy, or infrastructure lawyer.
- Familiarity with regulatory and risk frameworks in the energy sector.
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and contract management skills.
- Collaborative, adaptable, and self-motivated with a commercial mindset.
