**The Role**
As an Assistant Director at the Department of Education, you will contribute to Australia’s economic prosperity and social wellbeing by creating opportunities and driving better outcomes through access to quality education and learning.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
In this role, you will be responsible for the following:

- Managing and delivering projects and programs, including the development and management of project plans, program costings and financial and evaluation reporting.
- Analyse, interpret and evaluate information/ data from a broad range of sources to inform future policy and program direction.
- Maintain an extensive understanding of relevant policies, processes, frameworks, and research relevant to the department and sector.
- Lead the coordination and preparation of policy papers, briefs and reports for the Minister and/ or Executive that are based on research and analysis.
- Communicating with, and maintaining relationships with, stakeholders across the sector including students, higher education providers, regulators, peak bodies and other government agencies.
- Assisting the Director in managing the workflow of the team, including supervising and developing staff.
