DP World is seeking a professional to lead the delivery of in-house training, skill-based training and verification of competence.

The specialist will coordinate training directly with our Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and team of qualified vocational trainers onsite.

The goal is to ensure that our stevedore workforce remains skilled and competent, and that new talent is being developed to meet future needs. This includes migrating training records into a new corporate learning management system and identifying online/tablet based assessment/training record tools to replace paper records.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement skills development and training initiatives ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure effective risk management, consultation, and compliance in training and VOC processes.
  • Deliver training programs to ensure competency and safety.
  • Provide practical compliance advice and develop local training and VOC initiatives.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • Relevant Qualifications- Cert IV in Training & Assessment required; qualifications in Crane Operations, Lashing, Cargo Care or Clerical skills preferred.
  • Industry Experience- Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role within an industrial environment including training delivery, VOC and record management.
  • Training Development- Proven experience in designing, developing and modifying training courses tailored to operational needs.
  • LMS Proficiency- Extensive experience using Student/Learning Management Systems for tracking, reporting and training administration.
  • Training & Assessment- Strong background as a workplace trainer and assessor with up-to-date understanding of WHS and licensing regulations.
  • Leadership & Communication- Ability to lead, motivate and engage stakeholders at all levels with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Technical & Operational Knowledge- Solid understanding of stevedoring operations, safety standards and compliance within high-risk environments.
  • Organisational & Analytical Skills- Strong problem-solving, prioritisation, attention to detail and time management capabilities with a results-driven mindset.

What You Will Bring
