Firearms Training Specialist

The Firearms Training Specialist plays a pivotal role within our organization, overseeing the delivery and assessment of firearms training programs to police officers and other clients. This position involves leveraging adult education methodologies relevant to operational skills training programs.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver practical operational skills training, including firearms training, to enhance the proficiency of police officers and other clients.
- Apply evidence-based adult education methodologies to optimize the impact of training programs.
- Lead and supervise staff, assess program participants, and prepare required reports to inform strategic decisions.
- Plan, facilitate, and review the delivery and assessment of education and training programs to ensure effectiveness.
- Liaise with members of the Queensland Police Service and other agencies to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing.
- No mandatory qualifications; however, formal qualifications in Assessment and Training would be highly regarded for this position.
- A valid Open C-class licence is required for successful applicants.
- Suitable candidates must complete all relevant operational skills and tactics courses if not already in possession of equivalent qualifications.
