Home Care Worker Job Description

We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Home Care Workers. This role involves delivering personalized support and care to people in their homes, promoting independence and improving their quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide person-centered care and support aligned with individual care plans
  • Assist with personal care, domestic tasks, transportation, respite, and social support
  • Maintain privacy, dignity, and professionalism in all interactions
  • Use first aid in emergency situations (within scope)
  • Maintain accurate care records and report incidents/hazards

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Applicants must have the right to work in Australia to apply
  • Certificate III in Individual Support (or currently working towards it)
  • A genuine passion for helping others with compassion and empathy
  • Understanding of Consumer Directed and Person-Centred Care principles
  • A current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
  • Australian Driver's Licence and access to a registered, comprehensively insured vehicle
  • Strong communication skills, teamwork, and the ability to work independently
  • Comfortable using mobile technology for work tasks
