Opportunity Summary

The Neighbourhood Coordinator plays a pivotal role in leading a team to make a tangible difference in Home and Community Care services.

This position will facilitate the delivery of quality services, empowering clients to maintain their independence at home and stay connected with their local community.

The Neighbourhood Coordinator will ensure strong professional relationships between clients and their support circle. They will serve as the central point of contact for clients, overseeing the coordination of services to meet individual client needs.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading a group of Support Workers and Volunteers to deliver high-quality services.
  • Facilitating the delivery of quality services that enable clients to remain independent at home.
  • Developing and maintaining strong, professional relationships with clients and their support circle.
  • Serving as the central point of contact for clients, coordinating services to meet individual client needs.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • Tertiary or Diploma qualification in a relevant field, such as Aged Care, Health, Business, or equivalent years of experience.
  • Two or more years' experience in supervising a team, nurturing them through ambiguity and change.
  • Significant understanding of client needs, converting these into positive service delivery outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply critical thinking skills, prioritizing the client's needs.
  • Ability to effectively plan and manage budgets, allocate resources efficiently.
  • Confident in building and maintaining strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Passion for driving social change and contributing to an organisation dedicated to supporting vulnerable members of society.
  • Proficient in using multiple computer applications, willing to learn new systems and programs.
  • First Aid Certificate.
  • Current driver's licence and access to a comprehensively insured vehicle.
