Job Description">

We are seeking a skilled maintenance professional to join our team.

As a Maintenance Officer, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on our properties. This will include tasks such as carpentry, plastering, and painting.

You will also be required to inspect properties to ensure safety, compliance, and presentation standards.

In addition, you will operate and maintain tools and equipment, completing required safety documentation (JSA/SWMS).

Assist with the coordination of external contractors and support the Property Coordinator and Service Desk Officers in maintaining the property portfolio.

Attend team meetings and contribute to collaborative planning.

Undertake other duties as required to support property operations.

Required Skills and Qualifications">
  • A qualified trade background (carpentry, plastering, or general building preferred)
  • Demonstrated experience in property maintenance and safe use of tools and equipment
  • Ability to assess maintenance issues, prioritise tasks, and work independently
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Willingness to work collaboratively within a team
  • Understanding of Aboriginal culture and values, and awareness of issues affecting Aboriginal children, young people, and families
  • Commitment to the mission and ethos of MacKillop Family Services
