We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Property Services Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will play a vital role in maintaining the upkeep and maintenance of our premises and property.
About the RoleThis is a full-time position that requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. You will be responsible for ensuring our facilities remain in excellent condition through routine and responsive maintenance, safely and efficiently.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with scheduled and responsive repairs
- Setting up and packing down events
- Overseeing the upkeep and procurement of tools and supplies
- Performing minor repairs on school property
- Facilities Maintenance: Assist with scheduled and responsive repairs, including plumbing, carpentry, and general repair work.
- Event Support: Set up and pack down events, including setting up equipment and moving furniture as needed.
- Tool and Supply Management: Oversee the upkeep and procurement of tools and supplies, including ordering and restocking maintenance supplies as needed.
- Safety and Compliance: Conduct routine safety checks and inspections on school property, ensure all maintenance tasks comply with WHS regulations, and identify and report hazards, undertaking necessary repairs or escalating issues to management.
- Maintenance Experience: Equivalent experience in maintenance/Property Services roles.
- WHS Training: Current WHS training and compliance with WHS regulations.
- Working with Children Check: Current Working with Children Check.
- Problem-Solving and Initiative: Demonstrated experience in task completion and efficiency, problem-solving and initiative.
- Time Management and Adaptability: Strong time management and adaptability skills.
- Teamwork and Communication: Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
This role requires a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, actively attending their local Church, and willingly supporting our vision and practice.
