House Cleaner Job Description

As a house cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of residential properties.

Tasks include general house cleaning, deep cleaning, end-of-lease cleaning, carpet and upholstery cleaning, and window cleaning.

Key Responsibilities
  • General House Cleaning:
    • Clean and sanitize kitchens and bathrooms.
    • Wipe down surfaces, appliances, and furniture.
    • Empty trash bins and replace liners.
    • Maintain a spotless and hygienic living space for clients.
  • Deep Cleaning:
    • Scrub and disinfect hard-to-reach areas.
    • Clean grout, baseboards, and vents.
    • Remove built-up grease, dirt, and stains from kitchens and bathrooms.
    • Intensively clean carpets, upholstery, and blinds (if required).
  • End-of-Lease Cleaning:
    • Thoroughly clean all rooms to meet rental inspection standards.
    • Remove stains, marks, and buildup on walls, doors, and skirting boards.
    • Deep clean ovens, stovetops, range hoods, and sinks.
    • Window cleaning (inside and outside where accessible).
    • Ensure the property is move-in ready for new tenants.
  • Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning:
    • Deep steam clean carpets to remove dirt, stains, and odors.
    • Upholstery cleaning to maintain and refresh sofas, chairs, and fabric-covered furniture.
    • Use appropriate cleaning solutions to extend the life of carpets and furniture.
  • Window Cleaning:
    • Wash interior and exterior windows (where accessible).
    • Remove dirt, smudges, and streaks for a crystal-clear finish.
    • Clean window frames, sills, and tracks.
  • Housekeeping Duties:
    • General tidying and organizing of living spaces.
    • Make beds, change linens, and ensure rooms are neat.
    • Laundry duties, including washing, drying, folding, and ironing (if required).
    • Dishwashing and kitchen tidying.
    • Manage household supplies and restock when needed.
