Operational Risk Assurance Specialist

As a key team member, you will perform independent reviews and testing to ensure the effectiveness and completeness of current controls on the organizational level. This includes finance, regulatory reporting, SOX, prudential, and other critical areas.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Implementing governance policies, procedures, and programs
  • Documenting findings and delivering opinions, while collaborating with stakeholders and challenging as necessary
  • Conducting investigations into high-risk projects
  • Recommending valid monitoring and control practices
  • Refining and updating the Risk Assurance framework
  • Providing advisory services to stakeholders and maintaining a cohesive working relationship with Ops Risk, Compliance, and Audit

Requirements include:

  • 3-5 years of experience in an assurance or risk management function with a thorough understanding of key control areas
  • Knowledge and experience in testing prudential standards, SOX controls, or financial regulations
  • Experience in developing and implementing operational risk frameworks for large organizations
  • Professional assurance experience is highly regarded
  • A pragmatic operator who is highly adaptable and willing to take initiative
  • Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Relevant qualifications such as CA/CPA, CIA, CISA are desirable
