Senior Risk Management Professional

Cover-More Group is dedicated to delivering premium, agile and bespoke services for our clients. As a pivotal member of our Australian Operations team, you will drive the success of our insurance business through effective Governance, Risk and Compliance Management.

You will spearhead the development, implementation, and maintenance of a Line 1 assurance framework, encompassing Authorized Representative compliance, domestic compliance, and controls uplift and assurance activities. Ensure our operations remain resilient while safeguarding our customers' interests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead periodic workshops with business risk owners to ensure risk ratings are current and accurate
  • Evaluate risks associated with our products, services, and processes
  • Provide risk advice and assistance on sales projects and initiatives
  • Collaborate with the legal team to ensure practices align with regulatory requirements
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive Business Continuity Plan strategy
  • Support the CEO and COO to prepare for and respond to crises
  • Develop and prepare monthly and quarterly reports

Requirements:

  • At least 10 years experience in risk management and/or compliance
  • At least 5 years' experience with operational risk in the insurance sector
  • Relevant qualifications in law, accountancy, business, commerce or equivalent experience
  • Good working knowledge of the financial services regulatory environment in Australia
  • Good working knowledge of insurance products
  • Familiarity with ASIC AFSL
