Senior Associate – Employment Tax Specialist

As an integral part of our team, you will be responsible for developing and enhancing your specialist tax advisory expertise, with a particular focus on global mobility arrangements, fringe benefits tax (FBT), payroll tax, superannuation, employee share schemes, remuneration planning, and salary sacrifice arrangements across a diverse range of national clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert advice on a wide variety of FBT, Payroll Tax, Superannuation, ESS, PAYG and employee versus contractor matters, including audits and cross-border issues
  • Offer international assignment consulting and compliance services to clients across various industries and matters
  • Prepare FBT returns using specialized software and review existing policies and procedures for employers
  • Conduct comprehensive reviews and 'Health Checks' for employers' employment tax obligations, ensuring seamless compliance
  • Design and implement customized share plans for executives and other levels within organizations
  • Collaborate with data and technology experts to develop automated tools that enhance the efficiency of employment tax services
  • Mentor junior team members in their professional development and contribute to a culture of knowledge sharing and growth
Requirements:
  • Prior experience in a similar or complementary role is essential
  • Able to build strong relationships with clients and work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex legal information
  • Proactive approach to client relationships, with a focus on delivering exceptional service and cross-selling opportunities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas in a clear and concise manner
  • Degree qualification in Accounting, Tax, Commerce, Economics, Finance, or Law
