Job Overview

The Senior Conservation Leader will oversee the development and delivery of pioneering projects focused on ocean conservation and habitat preservation. Key responsibilities include leading a high-performing team, overseeing project planning and execution, building collaborative relationships with stakeholders, and representing Minderoo at events and conferences.

  • Leading and mentoring a high-performing team to achieve project milestones and organisational impact.
  • Overseeing the planning, execution, and monitoring of all conservation initiatives, ensuring delivery within scope, time and budget.
  • Building and maintaining collaborative relationships with partners, government agencies, academic institutions, and other stakeholders.
  • Representing Minderoo at all levels internally and externally at events and conferences, both globally and nationally.

Qualifications include a relevant tertiary qualification in Marine Biology, Environmental Science, Ecology, or a related field, with at least 10 years' experience working at the nexus of science, governance, policy and impact.
