Laing O'Rourke is seeking a Casual Rail Welder for Rail Operations in Sydney NSW. As a specialist in rail construction, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of our rail tracks.

About the Role

This casual position offers great career prospects with a privately-owned tier 1 constructor and international engineering enterprise. You will work on various projects, applying your skills and experience to deliver high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities

Your duties may include:

  • Ensuring welding duties meet required standards
  • Determining the method and sequence of welding operations
  • Preparing rail to repair and maintain rail tracks
  • Completing required documentation such as welding and adjustment returns
About You

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Ability to work unsupervised and within a team
  • Demonstrated experience working in the rail construction industry
  • Current Thermit Welding Certificate, or equivalent
  • Certificate 2 in Rail Infrastructure
  • Hold a valid Construction Induction (White Card) & Rail Industry Worker (RIW) Card
  • Valid Drivers Licence Class 'C' or 'HR'
  • Ability to pass a CAT3 medical, comprehensive functional and Drug & Alcohol Screening
  • Hold a current Sydney Trains CON number
Estimated Salary Range: $80,000 - $110,000 per annumBenefits
