About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Rail Welding Specialist to join our team at Laing O'Rourke, a leading constructor and engineering enterprise. This role offers great career prospects and opportunities for growth and development.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring welding duties meet required standards, determining the method and sequence of welding operations, and preparing rail to repair and maintain rail tracks.

About You

  • Hold a valid Thermit Welding Certificate or equivalent.
  • Be certified in ARTC Heat & Cut materials using Oxy-LPG equipment for the rail industry.
  • Have a Certificate 2 in Rail Infrastructure.
  • Hold a valid Construction Induction (White Card) & Rail Industry Worker (RIW) Card.
  • Have a valid Drivers Licence Class 'C' or 'HR'.
  • Be able to pass a CAT3 medical, comprehensive functional and Drug & Alcohol Screening.
  • Hold a current Sydney Trains CON number (desirable).
