Job Description

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Wholesale Regulation Manager. This role will involve working closely with the east coast merchant energy business to determine our strategy on wholesale market development issues.

The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing the strategy by influencing industry stakeholders, including market operators, regulators, policy makers, and participants. They will also undertake qualitative and quantitative analysis of proposed market developments to assist in identifying our advocacy strategy.

Key responsibilities will include providing expert advice to minimize compliance risks, preparing written submissions to influence outcomes regarding changes to applicable market rules and regulations, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to build and maintain trusted partnerships.

Requirements
  • Degree or equivalent professional qualification in a relevant discipline (e.g., Economics, Commerce, Business, Law).
  • Experience in the energy sector, conducting in-depth analysis of wholesale energy market issues.
  • Well-developed oral and written communication skills, including report writing.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders, building and maintaining trusted partnerships.
  • Strong PowerPoint skills, with the ability to make concise and impactful presentations.
