Job Summary:

The Operations Supervisor plays a pivotal role in driving innovation and execution within transportation networks.

This leadership position requires an ambitious individual to motivate and manage a team to meet productivity expectations aligned with company goals.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing attendance and workflow of the team, working closely with the Operations Shift Manager to address issues promptly.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the development of a robust health and safety culture through compliance with legislation and policy.
  • Manage daily departmental duties effectively.
  • Assist the Operations Shift Manager as required.
  • Conduct thorough debriefs of all staff and ensure accurate completion of paperwork.
  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) at all times.
  • Assign tasks to staff as necessary to support workflow and daily metrics.
  • Collaborate with the Operations Shift Manager to ensure adequate resourcing for your function, including call-outs for training needs, absence, and performance management.
  • Train new associates to equip them with the necessary knowledge to perform tasks efficiently.
  • Assist the Operations Shift Manager in tracking, analyzing, and reporting on departmental metrics.
  • Participate in identifying reasons behind success and failure in meeting departmental and Delivery Station goals.
  • Track and report hours and schedules for Associates.
  • Address process-related area issues as required.
  • Ensure defect reporting is completed to a high standard.
