About the Role:

This position as a Risk Management Specialist in a well-established company has become available due to the shift in governing financial reporting requirements. As a Risk Management Specialist, you will be the core personnel working with various stakeholders to implement and enforce effective control mechanisms governing risk management. This role involves working in collaboration with the business across different functions to collect evidence, review supporting documents, identify gaps, and drive process improvement to strengthen the risk management framework. In addition to this, the role will require liaison with insurance brokers for policy renewal and supporting with business claims.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor key risk indicators and support with implementing corrective action plans to manage and mitigate risks
  • Review of key risk items and identify the root causes of abnormalities and mismanagement cases to improve processes
  • Analysis of transactions, internal reports, and financial information for potential financial risks
  • Collaborate with cross-functional control owners to facilitate the control operation efficiency
  • On a monthly basis, collect and review evidence to validate the effectiveness of controls
About You:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. Accounting & Finance, Business, Risk Management)
  • Minimum a year experience in audit, accounting, risk management, control implementation, or a related role
  • Strong and clear communication skills
  • Intermediate stakeholder management skills with the confidence to interact across all levels
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and thoroughness
  • Agile and self-starter
  • Intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills
