Internal Control and Risk Management Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Finance department at Samsung Electronics Australia as an Internal Control and Risk Analyst. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for implementing and enforcing effective control mechanisms to manage risk. You will work closely with various stakeholders to identify gaps and drive process improvements to strengthen the company's risk management framework.
Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor key risk indicators and support the implementation of corrective action plans to manage and mitigate risks.
• Review key risk items and identify the root causes of abnormalities and mismanagement cases to improve processes.
• Analyze transactions, internal reports, and financial information for potential financial risks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional control owners to facilitate control operation efficiency.
• Collect and review evidence on a monthly basis to validate the effectiveness of controls.
About You:
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional with a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Accounting and Finance, Business, or Risk Management. You should have a minimum of one year of experience in audit, accounting, risk management, control implementation, or a related role. You should also possess strong communication skills, intermediate stakeholder management skills, and detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and thoroughness. Additionally, you should be agile and self-motivated with intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills.
