Data Centre Facilities Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Facilities Engineering Specialist to join our team in our Homebush Data Centre for Fujitsu. This is a permanent role with a salary and benefits associated with shift work. To be eligible for this role, you must be an Australian Citizen.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the security and integrity of our data centre facilities, including physical and access procedures, IT infrastructure, and data centre plant and equipment maintenance.
- Identify and address faults and issues with data centre infrastructure, escalating to relevant vendors or internal teams as necessary.
- Assist in maintaining the efficiency and reliability of our large and technically complex data centre facility.
- Lead and coordinate incident management and supporting procedures.
- Prepare monthly reporting related to data hall environmental conditions, power usage, and SLA adherence.
- Manage risk management around the DC and assess all WHS associated with the centre.
- Liaise with clients and services providers as required during the coordination of facility maintenance.
- Subcontractor management and supervision, including maintenance, repair, and new installations as required on a 24x7 basis.
- Ensure Fujitsu Data Centre National Access Procedure is followed at all times.
Requirements and Experience
- Electrically qualified by trade or Mechanical/Controls preferred.
- 2 years previous experience working within a data centre or similar environment.
- Able to work independently and trouble shoot customer issues.
- Experience in operational efficiencies and operational process creation and reviews.
- Excellent customer service, communication skills, and a 'can do' attitude.
- Awareness of WHS principles.
- Open cable license favourable.
