**APS5 Corporate Business Officer Job Opportunity**

We are seeking a talented APS5 Corporate Business Officer to fill this exciting role.

The successful candidate will join our dynamic team, providing strategic advice to senior executives and corporate and enabling services to all staff, including their overseas network.

This Federal Government Hub provides corporate strategic and enabling services for the Group, supporting the Group in further deepening engagement within the Pacific region.

This opportunity allows you to contribute to shaping the delivery of services and use of resources in the area and gain experience working in one of the Department's largest groups whose work is central to the Government's priorities in the Pacific.

You will work on a variety of tasks which provide advice and support to the executive and staff, including:

  • Managing enquiries and requests for advice or support received to the HUB Group Mailbox, responding or directing to the relevant work area as needed.
  • Coordinating corporate tasking within the Group to ensure that high quality responses are returned within deadlines.
  • Supporting effective communication and engagement through management of internal and external communications products and coordination of meetings.
  • Assisting with business continuity planning and implementation, WHS, liaison with the DFAT Emergency Network and coordination of wellbeing campaigns.
  • Contributing to the smooth functioning of the Hub by supporting the work of the Finance, HR and Small Posts Units or providing other administrative tasks as required.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • The ability to achieve results and create change by identifying and using resources wisely.
  • Strong prioritisation skills, sound judgement in decision making and the ability to see a project through to completion.
  • A working knowledge of MS Suite is an advantage.
  • To be people oriented and able to develop and maintain positive relationships with team members and engage productively with clients and stakeholders.

This position is available as an initial 12 month non-ongoing contract with chance for permanency.
