About the Role:

The Supply Chain Optimization Specialist plays a critical role in driving business growth by delivering solutions to Defence and Government projects. They are responsible for coordinating detailed analyses to integrate support considerations into the design process, identifying opportunities to reduce through-life support costs, and managing risks and issues associated with Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) and supportability aspects of Engineering Changes (EC).

This position requires a deep understanding of Defence Logistics management systems, including MILIS, LNIDs, NAVALLOW, APLCRATES, and AMPS.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and monitor risks associated with procurement and sparing activities.
  • Evaluate procurement and sparing activities against LOT targets.
  • Monitor overarching procurement activities for Engineering Changes and raise issues of concern.
  • Ensure LLTI identification and procurement is factored into scheduling.
  • Management oversight of the logistical movement of inventory and stock holdings.
  • Coordination, analysis, and execution of supply and demand requirements.
  • Maintain master data management and accuracy, including updating relevant systems.
  • Support supply chain lifecycle cost analysis, including savings and cost avoidance tracking.
  • Make changes to the Navy Allowance Management System (NAVALLOW).
  • Ensure preparation for Assembly Parts Lists (APLs) and Outboard Allowance List (OAL) in APLCRATES.

Requirements:

  • Cert IV in Materiel Logistics or equivalent, relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in an integrated logistic support or logistics engineering discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Defence or related technical industry.
  • Knowledge and experience in Defence logistics management systems, including MILIS, LNIDs, NAVALLOW, APLCRATES, and AMPS.
  • Significant experience as a military supply/storeman, preferably in the land/marine environment.
  • Must be eligible for ITAR clearance of relevant ship systems.
