Senior Financial Analyst Role

We are seeking a highly motivated professional who is looking to take the next step in their career as a Senior Financial Analyst for our team.

About the Role
  • The successful applicant will be responsible for handling significant quantities of invoicing for a range of complex ICT services, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • The role involves providing ongoing advice in relation to the cost recovery of ICT services, supporting the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures relevant to the delivery of services and business improvement activities.
  • The successful applicant will assist with driving improved financial literacy through the delivery of coaching to staff, and training on financial principles more broadly across our organisation.
Key Responsibilities
  1. To handle large volumes of financial transactions accurately and efficiently.
  2. To provide expert advice on cost recovery and financial management.
  3. To develop and implement financial policies and procedures that meet organisational requirements.
  4. To improve financial literacy across the organisation by delivering coaching and training programs.
Requirements
  • An ACT Government CMTEDD Baseline clearance is required for this position.
  • A degree with a major in accounting, finance, data science, statistics or mathematics is desirable but not essential.
  • CAANZ or CPA Australia membership is desirable but not essential.
  • Two years relevant experience in an accounting or data analytics environment is desirable.
What We Offer

This is a temporary position available immediately until 31 December 2025 with the possibility of extension up to 12 months and/or permanency. Opportunities for flexible working options could include hybrid working, part-time hours, job-sharing, flexible start and finish times.
