Job Title: Health and Safety Officer
\The position of Health and Safety Officer is integral to the successful delivery of primary healthcare services across public prisons in Victoria. The role will be based at GEO Healthcare's Head Office in Carlton, with a focus on promoting wellbeing initiatives and deploying effective workplace health and safety services.
\Key responsibilities include developing new procedures, managing and implementing health wellbeing programs, preparing reports and submissions, and maintaining appropriate records. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of occupational health and safety legislation and regulations, as well as contemporary injury management and risk management practices.
\To be successful in this role, you will need to have a high level of interpersonal skills, the ability to develop new procedures, and excellent communication skills. You will also require a valid and current full Australian driver's licence, satisfactory completion of a National Criminal History Check, and the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
\Required Skills:

- Tertiary qualifications in occupational health and safety or equivalent\
- Experience and knowledge of OHS legislation, regulations, practices, procedures, and standards\
- Contemporary injury management and risk management practices and procedures\
- Strong interpersonal skills\
- Ability to develop new procedures\
