About This Role

We are seeking a skilled Mining Engineer to join our team at an open cut coal mine. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering best practice mining engineering services and support to our Truck and Shovel fleet.

The ideal candidate will have experience of haulage and dump designs, as well as knowledge in mine scheduling software. They will also have strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to health, safety and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, plan and schedule short to medium term mining operations
  • Leverage experience of haulage and dump designs to optimise haulage
  • Collaborate with production teams to communicate mine plans and schedules
  • Drive continuous improvement across the business

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualified Mining Engineer with at least 3 years post graduate experience
  • Experience in driving best practices through departments
  • Strong ability to understand functionality of business systems
  • Track record in driving continuous improvement
