Key Position Available:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Communications Technician to join our team.

About the Role

The Communications Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing communication systems on site. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and excellent problem-solving abilities.

You will work closely with the Service Delivery Coordinator to ensure seamless installation, maintenance, and repair of communication systems. Your ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to departmental plans and continuous improvement objectives is essential.

Responsibilities
  • Foster Collaborative Relationships

  • Participate in Safety Processes
  • Travel Across Site to Respond to Tasks

In addition to these key responsibilities, you will also contribute to the leadership of the site and work collaboratively with team members to deliver on business plans. You will be responsible for developing and implementing site strategies, monitoring and managing performance against set plans, and demonstrating commitment to safety and positive work behaviors.

You will lead and facilitate the implementation of all people, safety, technical, and operating business systems. You will also ensure overall compliance with all systems and provide governance to optimize and improve them where possible.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Cert III in Telecommunications
  • Austel Licence with Open Endorsements in Optical Fibre, Structured Cabling, Coaxial, Underground, Aerial
  • Experience with SAP Maintenance System (Preferred)
  • Strong Interpersonal and Negotiation Skills
  • Ability to Understand Functionality of Business Systems and Extract Relevant Data
  • Track Record in Driving Continuous Improvement

Additional desirable qualifications include experience with Hexagon Systems programming software and Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook.
