Key Mining Professional Role

Job Description:

We are seeking a professional with expertise in mining engineering to deliver best practice services and support our fleet, managing resources effectively. Our team consists of specialists in the development and implementation of short to medium term mining strategies and mine plans.

  • Leverage your experience in haulage and dump designs as well as your knowledge in mine scheduling software to optimise haulage and deliver achievable mine plans.
  • Engage with the production team to communicate mine plans and schedules to ensure that the production processes are optimised to continuously increase operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualified mining professional with at least 3 years post graduate experience gained in an open cut environment.
  • Desirable experience and attributes include:
    • Short to medium term design, planning and/or scheduling within an open cut operation.
    • Truck & Shovel experience.
    • Ability to drive best practices through your department and into the business.
    • Capacity to understand functionality of business systems and extract relevant data for business purposes.
    • Track record in driving continuous improvement.
    • Strong commitment to health, safety and environmental standards.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Exposure to DESWIK highly desirable, SPRY, Vulcan, MINEX, SAP and/or mining/blasting software will be highly regarded.
