We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Senior Associate in the PROFIN department. This role offers an excellent opportunity for career growth and development in the insurance industry.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Portfolio Management - assisting in the overall management of a portfolio from beginning to end of renewal cycle with a focus on profitable growth.
- Business Development - contributing to new business activities and identifying and developing new business prospects through cross-marketing.
- Relationship Building - developing and maintaining close working relationships with key stakeholders, specifically insurance markets and distribution partners.
- Client Advice - providing personalized advice to clients in all matters affecting their insurance program needs, including explaining insurance policy conditions, risks covered, premium rates and benefits, and making recommendations on the amount and type of cover.
- Business Retention - contributing to business retention activities, including all forms of customer service and broking standards.
To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have:
- A strong ability to follow directions and work collaboratively with others while being self-motivated and able to manage own workload.
- The capacity to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written).
- A high level of attention to detail, quality standards and compliance.
- A good sense of humour and adaptability to change.
- A proactive and responsive approach to the changing needs of the team, office and business, and to any issues that arise.
- Competency in math's and accuracy.
- A strong 'can-do' attitude, work ethic and willingness to learn.
The successful candidate will require:
- Tier 1 qualification in Insurance Broking.
- At least 5 years of experience in the insurance/broking industry.
- Understanding of invoicing procedures and file management.
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel for reporting.
- Knowledge of Financial Lines Insurance products is essential.
- Preferably degree qualified.
