Commercial Project Specialist Opportunity

As a skilled Commercial Project Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of major infrastructure projects. You will align financial and contractual strategies with project goals as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with commercial managers, contract administrators, technical advisors, clients, and contractors for cohesive project delivery.
  • Analyse and report on commercial performance to support decision-making and risk mitigation.
  • Provide expert advice on financial forecasting, payment processes, contract controls, and claims resolution.
  • Lead commercial aspects of change control, ensuring transparency and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct detailed cash flow analysis to support financial planning and project sustainability.
  • Operate within client offices, either as part of a seconded team or embedded within a T&T-led delivery model.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven track record in large-scale infrastructure, health, aviation, government, or defence projects.
  • Strong understanding of commercial frameworks, contract management, and financial controls.
  • Experience with alliance models and collaborative delivery environments is highly valued.
  • Dual-sector insight, exposure to both client/consultancy and contractor-side delivery is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Excel and Power BI for data analysis and reporting.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, Finance, or equivalent experience.
