Graphic Arts Technician Job Description

The Graphic Arts Technician plays a pivotal role in supporting the design and production team by creating detailed setup instructions, graphic specs, and renderings using AutoCAD and other software.

Responsibilities include:

  • Creating new setup instructions for booths, stands, accessories, etc. utilizing AutoCAD
  • Developing graphic specs
  • Designing TAG CALLOUTS and renderings
  • Creating overhead drawings, layouts, and electrical grids/specs
  • Collaborating with the Design Department and Production Team to establish and evaluate assignment requests and deliverables at initial briefings
  • Assisting with measurements as required
  • Capturing photos, measurements, and features for new items and adding them to online inventory
  • Supporting data entry of new vendors, products, services, etc.
  • Logging orders into online inventory systems

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Google Docs, AutoCAD, 3D Max, and SketchUp
  • Familiarity with exhibit extrusion (Octanorm) is advantageous
