Legal and Governance Role

Tablelands Regional Council is seeking a motivated Legal and Governance professional to play a central role in strengthening governance frameworks and providing legal expertise.

The Key Responsibilities
  • Ensuring governance, quality and risk programs are robust and effective.
  • Providing in-house legal guidance and coordinating external legal advice.
  • Managing complaints and investigations in line with Council's Complaints Management Policy.
  • Preparing high-quality reports and briefings to support informed decision-making.
About the Ideal Candidate

We Are Seeking a Dedicated Professional Who Brings

  • A Bachelor's degree in Law (or relevant discipline).
  • Admission as an Australian Lawyer.
  • Current practising certificate (or eligibility to obtain).
  • Demonstrated experience in commercial/community leasing and complaints handling.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
