Job Title: Environmental Sustainability Coordinator

This is a key opportunity for an environmental professional to join our team and contribute to the delivery of our sustainability goals. As an Environmental Sustainability Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our operations are environmentally responsible and compliant with regulatory requirements.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in environmental science or a related field, with experience in implementing or working with Environmental Management Systems (EMS). They will be able to demonstrate a high level of technical knowledge, as well as excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently in a dynamic environment.

The key responsibilities of this role include:
  • Implementing and overseeing tenant and contractor environmental management programs.
  • Conducting regular inspections, audits, and monitoring activities to ensure compliance.
  • Reviewing and assessing Environmental Management Plans (EMPs) for development and operational activities.
  • Managing environmental monitoring programs, including water, air, noise, waste, and soil monitoring.
  • Investigating and responding to environmental incidents in line with our procedures.
  • Delivering environmental inductions and training for staff, tenants, and contractors.
  • Maintaining accurate databases, records, and regulatory reporting.

About You:
You should have:
  • A tertiary qualification in environmental science, environmental engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in implementing or working with Environmental Management Systems (ISO 14001 or similar).
  • Hands-on experience with inspections, audits, and environmental monitoring.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage priorities and projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to identify risks, trends, and compliance gaps.
