About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Release Manager to join our IT Operations team at ING Bank N.V. As a Release Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient deployment of software releases across our complex IT landscape.

Key Responsibilities
  • Release Planning and Scheduling: Develop and maintain release plans, schedules, and timelines to ensure timely and successful deployments.
  • Change Management: Oversee the change management process, ensuring that all changes are properly assessed, approved, and implemented in accordance with our change management policies and procedures.
  • Release Coordination: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, testing, and operations, to ensure seamless release coordination and execution.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with releases, ensuring minimal disruption to our production environment.
  • Communication and Stakeholder Management: Develop and maintain effective communication plans to keep stakeholders informed of release schedules, progress, and outcomes.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all releases meet our quality standards, and that any issues or defects are promptly identified and resolved.
Requirements
  • Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of our core technology stack, including J2EE,.NET, Azure DevOps, and GIT Branching & Merging.
  • Agile and DevOps Experience: Proven experience with Agile and DevOps methodologies, including Azure DevOps.
  • Stakeholder Management: Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork: Excellent collaboration and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
