About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Economic Strategist to join our team at Women in Economics. As an Economic Strategist, you will play a key role in helping us plan for the future of our cities and regions by developing and prioritizing infrastructure investments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and provide strategic advice to clients on infrastructure investments, including housing, transport, education, and skills, health, energy, and decarbonization, water, and community infrastructure.
  • Conduct economic modeling and analysis, develop policies and strategies, and deliver feasibility studies and business cases for infrastructure investments.
  • Contribute to sustaining a positive culture within our team, which is integral to our success.
  • Participate in tailored learning and development training opportunities and work with industry leaders to shape your growth and development at Women in Economics.
  • Work in a flexible environment across various hubs.

Requirements:

  • Confidence in providing economic modeling and analysis and strategic advice to help shape infrastructure investment decisions.
  • Recent experience in quantitative analysis, cost-benefit analysis, geospatial analysis, data visualization, and/or model development.
  • Passion for facilitating better community outcomes through enhanced infrastructure, assets, and places.

About You:

  • Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and written communication skills, combined with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to juggle competing demands and work as a team player in a dynamic and results-based environment.
  • Tertiary qualifications in economics, urban planning, commerce, business, law, public policy, or other relevant areas.
  • A strong interest and commitment in the use of technology and data to improve the way in which infrastructure projects are planned, delivered, and managed.
