Feed Trials Assistant Job Summary:

The Feed Trials Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting the daily operations of marine feed trials. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented individual to contribute to the upkeep of trial pens and broader fish health-related tasks.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Feed Distribution: Oversee daily feed distribution, ensuring correct diets are available and that fish are fed according to the trial protocol and project plan. Efficient removal of feed waste is essential.
  • Data Reporting: Accurately track and report key performance metrics, including feed rates, fish growth, and mortalities to identify any issues.
  • Fish Health Monitoring: Observe fish behavior, water quality, and environmental factors, promptly identifying and reporting any irregularities that may impact trial results.
  • Growth and Feed Investigation: Investigate variances in expected growth patterns or feed rates.

About the Role:

To succeed in this position, you will require excellent communication skills, strong time management skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. You should also possess excellent attention to detail, well-developed analytical and reporting skills, and confidence in using Microsoft Office.
