About the Role

This is an experienced practitioner role that requires the occupant to operate with a level of independence against a specific set of rules or procedures set by the health service provider/s.

The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Practitioner will provide a range of clinical primary health care services to clients and communities, including delivering specific health care programs, assessing and treating clients, maintaining health care systems, and providing advice and support while under clinical supervision.

The successful candidate will contribute to better health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

About You
  1. Current registration with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Practice Board, including a Certificate IV in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care Practice.
  2. Applicants that also hold a Diploma of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care Practice or Primary Health Care may also be appointed to higher paypoint.
  3. Demonstrated local cultural knowledge and exercise cultural respect and safety at the individual and family's levels.
  4. Demonstrated ability to provide Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care practice to individuals and families while maintaining appropriate confidentiality.

What We Offer

Total remuneration value of up to $111,025 p.a. is comprised of:

  1. An hourly rate between $49.07 p.h.
  2. 12.75% employer superannuation contribution.
