The Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse Consultant to join our team in the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Directorate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Nurse Unit Manager to develop and implement culturally safe clinical practices that improve service provision for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
- Develop and maintain relevant policies and processes related to First Nations healthcare programs.
- Work in collaboration with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health team to promote excellence in culturally safe clinical practice.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health issues to the Directorate and other stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Current Nursing registration through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
- Relevant knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture and community knowledge.
- Ability to work in a culturally sensitive and respectful manner.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
