
Customer Connection Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team in a key role that involves working closely with customers to achieve optimal connections.
The successful candidate will work as part of our Operations Planning and Access team within Network Operations, providing advice on relevant processes and procedures, ensuring appropriate special protection schemes are included with customer connections and providing technical guidance and advice to the Network Access team relating to customer request information.
Key responsibilities will include influencing design to ensure operational connectivity and network resilience is achieved, establishing and maintaining operational procedures and protocols, facilitating customer awareness and education in relation to Powerlink Network Operations procedures and resources, and supporting customers in achieving optimal connections.
Requirements
Significant industry experience and degree-level qualifications in Electrical Engineering are essential. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated operational field-based engineering experience, ideally with exposure to switching sheets or work instructions. A second-to-none focus on safety is also required, along with an inclusive and collaborative approach to working with stakeholders.
The successful candidate will have the ability to troubleshoot and provide advice on technical, connection-related matters, knowledge of and the ability to interpret network rules and regulations, and knowledge of transmission/distribution networks, associated elements and protection schemes.
