Community Support Worker

We are seeking an individual with a passion to give back to the community by visiting an elderly lady living at home.

Our client speaks Italian and would like to meet someone to visit her who loves a good conversation and a cup of tea.

This opportunity is a great way for you to make a meaningful difference to the life of an older person. Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself.

Requirements
  • 18 years or older
  • National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare

We'd be happy to discuss a suitable time during the week for a 30 minute visit between 9am and 4pm Monday to Sunday; visits could be weekly to fortnightly depending on your availability.

The role involves regular visits to our client, providing companionship and support. This may include engaging in conversations, playing games, or simply being present.

As a volunteer, you will have the opportunity to develop new skills, gain experience, and build relationships with our clients and team members.
