About the Role
This role presents an exceptional opportunity to lead aged care services with a progressive regional health provider.
- The Executive Director of Aged Care will ensure safe, high-quality person-centred care for all older people by providing strategic direction and upholding compliance with aged care legislation.
- This leadership position will play an active part in the South West Local Health Service Network across key initiatives in aged care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Strategic Management: Provide visionary leadership and strategic direction to ensure the delivery of high-quality aged care services.
- Clinical and Care Governance: Ensure that clinical governance principles are upheld, and care is delivered in accordance with best practice standards.
- Compliance and Accreditation: Maintain compliance with relevant legislation and accreditation standards.
- Financial & Resource Management: Oversee financial management and resource allocation to ensure effective use of resources.
- Workforce and Human Resource Management: Lead and develop a skilled and dedicated workforce to deliver high-quality aged care services.
- Stakeholder and Community Engagement: Foster strong relationships with stakeholders and the community to promote aged care services.
- Consumer-Centred Care and Resident Advocacy: Ensure that consumer needs are at the forefront of service delivery.
- Risk Management and Emergency Preparedness: Identify and mitigate risks to ensure continuity of aged care services.
Requirements:
- A proven track record in clinical governance, operational excellence, and stakeholder engagement.
- Strong operational and financial management acumen.
- Qualifications as a Registered Nurse with current registration with AHPRA.
- Executive leadership experience in aged care, health, or human services.
- Strong knowledge of Aged Care Quality Standards and the Aged Care Act.
