Job Title: Salon Operations Manager

The Grooming State Manager oversees the performance, operations, and growth of grooming salons across Victoria.

This role requires a deep understanding of the grooming industry, strong people management skills, and the ability to drive operational excellence across multiple locations.

  • Lead and manage teams of salon managers and groomers across all locations in the state.
  • Ensure high-quality services, animal welfare, and hygiene standards are consistently upheld.
  • Monitor and improve salon performance against key metrics (revenue, appointments, customer satisfaction, etc.).
  • Recruit, onboard, and train new team members; support ongoing skill development.
  • Provide coaching, feedback, and performance management to individuals and teams.
  • Support salons with rostering, inventory management, and compliance requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and implement process or service enhancements.
  • Collaborate with national leadership on strategy, promotions, and expansion plans.
Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

  • Oversee the performance and operations of grooming salons across Victoria.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve salon performance and drive business growth.
  • Lead and manage a team of salon managers and groomers.
  • Ensure exceptional customer service and high-quality grooming standards.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience managing multi-site teams in a grooming or retail business.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and people development skills.
  • Business acumen – comfortable managing budgets, KPIs, and operational targets.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability under pressure.
  • Passion for animals and commitment to animal welfare.
