General Practice Medical Officer Opportunity

We seek a skilled and passionate General Practice medical officer to deliver high-quality patient care services in our healthcare setting.

The successful applicant will provide admitting, consultative, diagnostic, procedural, outpatient, telehealth and on-call services as required by the district. They will also attend and be available during rostered work hours and on-call periods, including clinical handover, supervision, teaching and emergency and routine care as needed.

The ideal candidate will possess recent and comprehensive experience in General Practice, with strong medical expertise and excellent communication skills. They will also demonstrate the ability to engage in education and research activities, contribute to quality improvement initiatives, and advocate for individual and societal health.

  • A primary medical degree registrable with AHPRA and Fellowship of the RACGP or ACRMM, and/or overseas trained specialist pathways are essential requirements for this role.
  • Evidence of medical expertise in General Practice, scholarship, and ability to teach and support staff and trainees is also highly desirable.
Key Qualifications:
  • Primary medical degree and relevant registration with AHPRA.
  • Fellowship of the RACGP or ACRMM, or equivalent overseas qualification.
  • Recent and comprehensive experience in General Practice, with evidence of medical expertise.
  • Scholarship and ability to teach and support staff and trainees, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
