We are seeking a Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) professional to maintain high standards of health, safety, environmental and risk management processes.

This is a hands-on role working across all project sites to implement continuous improvements relating to health and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Acting as a company representative on all WHS matters
  • Assisting departments in implementing and embedding their health and safety work plans
  • SUPPORTING the HSEQ Manager to ensure the Safety Management System delivers consistent approaches to meet government legislative requirements
  • PROMOTING WHS within our organisation and assisting in developing safer and healthier ways of working
  • Implementing a programmed approach to regular workplace audits, hazard/near miss reporting and risk assessments
  • Inspecting workplaces and identifying hazards and risks
  • Facilitating strategies and programs to mitigate claims potentials and improve staff safety
  • Collating illness/injury and incidents reports and statistics for senior management
  • Investigating incidents and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrences
Requirements:
  • Experience in a HSEQ Officer role (5 years preferred)
  • Qualifications in WHS and/or Environmental (preferred)
  • WHS General Construction Induction Certificate (White Card)
  • Current NSW Driver's Licence
  • Experience within the civil construction industry would be an advantage
  • Ability to coordinate and develop Health and Safety policies and procedures
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong administrative skills
  • Demonstrated organisational abilities and time management skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and as a team
  • Ability to communicate with clients at all levels
  • A practical common-sense approach to tasks undertaken
