Medical Lab Scientist/Medical Technologist Job Opportunity
A Medical Lab Scientist/Medical Technologist is responsible for performing various laboratory procedures under supervision, following established protocols and procedures. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Science degree in a related field and relevant experience in a medical laboratory setting.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform laboratory procedures, including blood testing and specimen analysis, using standard and specialized techniques and equipment.
- Exercise professional judgment to recognize, prioritize, and facilitate test requests and workload in an efficient manner.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of laboratory results and test data.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide timely and accurate laboratory results.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, Chemistry, Medical Laboratory Science, or Clinical Laboratory Science.
- One year of experience in an approved program or equivalent with an accredited recognized agency or organization.
- Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT), Medical Lab Scientist (MLS) or Categorical certification in area of experience from the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or American Medical Technologists (AMT).
