Job Overview

This role involves performing a variety of laboratory procedures under supervision, using standard and specialized techniques, instrumentation, and equipment to assist physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.


Main Responsibilities
  • Performing laboratory procedures, including testing biological specimens;
  • Exercising professional judgment to recognize, prioritize, and facilitate varying test requests and workload;
  • Demonstrating manual dexterity sufficient to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment;

Key Qualifications
  • A Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant field (Biology, Chemistry, Medical Laboratory Science, or Clinical Laboratory Science);
  • One year of experience in an approved program or equivalent with an accredited recognized agency or organization;
  • Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT), Medical Lab Scientist (MLS) or Categorical certification in the area of experience from ASCP or AMT;

Physical Demands

This role requires medium physical demands, including exerting 20-50 pounds of force occasionally and/or ten to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force continuously to move objects.
