Head of Statistics Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Head of Statistics to lead our statistical team and shape the statistical strategy for our diverse portfolio of clinical trials.

About the Role:

  • Lead and mentor a team of statisticians, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Develop and implement statistical strategies for clinical trials, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in the development of study protocols, including statistical design, sample size calculations, and statistical analysis plans.
  • Oversee the execution of statistical analyses, interpretation of results, and preparation of statistical reports for regulatory submissions.
  • Ensure the quality and integrity of statistical deliverables through rigorous review processes and adherence to relevant guidelines.
  • Engage with clients to understand their statistical needs, provide expertise, and contribute to the development of strategic solutions.

Requirements:

  • MSc, Ph D in Statistics, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in statistical leadership roles within the pharmaceutical or CRO industry.
  • Proficient in statistical software (e.g., SAS, R), and familiarity with relevant regulatory guidelines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively convey complex statistical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
