Aboriginal Cultural Consultant

We are seeking an experienced and passionate professional to join our Education Early Intervention Services team. This is a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and young people.
">The Navigator program aims to re-engage disengaged learners aged 12-17 years old in Mt Helen location. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team, schools, and community service providers to provide targeted support and intervention strategies that cater to the unique cultural needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and young people.
Key Responsibilities- To identify and support students who are struggling to engage with education
- To develop individual learning and re-engagement plans that reflect the cultural needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students
- To provide data and reports on student disengagement and intervention outcomes
- To build partnerships with local agencies to enhance support and opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students
You will require:
- Strong case management and youth engagement skills
- A tertiary qualification in Education, Youth Work, Social Work, Community Development or similar
- High energy and commitment to supporting your clients
- Flexibility and ability to work within the parameters of the role
